Stated simply, psychological growth is growth in efficiency, spiritual growth is growth in love. Psychological growth has to do with how well we are able to accomplish the tasks of living. Spiritual growth has to do with what we are living for, what our basic desires and goals are for our life. Put another way, psychological growth develops the instrument, while spiritual growth plays the music.
